Adrian Morley is delighted to be captaining the Northern Union side for the game against the All Golds at the Halliwell Jones stadium on the20th October.
Warrington Wolves star to-be Louis Anderson will feature in the historic Gillette Fusion Centenary International between the Northern Union and All Golds alongwith ex-Warrington stars Nigel Vagana and David Kidell. The match on October 20th at Warrington's Halliwell Jones stadium commemorates the 100th anniversary of the birth of international rugby league. It will see a Northern Union team made up of the current Great Britain train-on squad take on an All Golds side featuring a number of Kiwi internationals and guest players. Anderson - brother of current Wolves utility star Vinnie Anderson - has been named at Loose Forward for the All Golds. Former top try scorer Nigel Vagana lines up at centre and Kidwell is in the second row. Also featuring are Leeds Rhinos duo Clinton Toopi and Ali Lauitiiti, Wigan's Thomas Leuluai, St Helens pair of Francis Meli and Jason Cayless, Bardford's Tame Tupou and Awen Guttenbeil from newly promoted Castleford Tigers. Catalans Dragons scrum-half Stacey Jones, one of the best players of the modern era, will also make an appearance in what will be his final game before retirement. The All Golds side will be coached by Brisbane Broncos supremo Wayne Bennett who will not be the only Australian involved in the side. New Zealand Warriors captain Steve Price will take on the role of Dally Messenger from the original 1907 team. Kiwi legend Ruben Wiki, the most capped player for New Zealand with 55 appearances, will captain the side. Ruben Wiki said: "I never thought I'd have the chance to play alongside these boys again. "It's going to be unreal being among the Kiwis again, and to have Steve Price there as well as finding out what it's like being in a New Zealand side like this. The same goes for Wayne Bennett who has done just about everything in the game and now he gets to coach a New Zealand team as well. "The best thing of all is that we'll all be in this together in a game that celebrates 100 years of international rugby league. Being able to play with so many great players and some new ones coming through is going to make this an occasion I'll never forget." It is likely that both Anderson brothers could come head to head with some of theor Wolves mates. Warrington's Adrian Morley has already been named as captain of the Northern Union squad and Wolves players Ben Westwood, Kevin Penny, Martin Gleeson and Jon Clarke are also in the squad. Warrington Wolves season ticket holders can receive a 20 per cent discount on ticket prices for not only the Gillette Fusion Centenary International, but also the Gillette Fusion Test Series against New Zealand, including the third Test match which will be played at Wigan's JJB Stadium. Family tickets, priced just £35 for two adults and two children, are also available for all four games.
