26th October.Wire have awarded new contracts to five of their squad, including back-rower Rob Parker. Parker, 26, has signed a two-year deal which will keep him at the Halliwell Jones Stadium until 2009. There are also one-year deals for front-rower Chris Leikvoll and back-rower Mike Wainwright. And the Wolves have taken up one-year options on second-rower Andy Bracek and prop Steve Pickersgill. all out of contract at the end of this season - have been given new one-year deals, taking Wolves up to the maximum salary cap limit for Super League XII. And they have looked to the long term as well by extending the contract of Rob Parker, who still had 12 months left on his current deal but is now committed to the club until the end of 2009.
24th October. Warrington are aiming to save £25,000 a year by having their own water supply, a lake of water has been discovered underneath the stadium. The plan is to tap into it by drilling a bore hole 50 to 90 mtrs deep it will cost £10,000, the pumped water will be used for pitch watering and for the stadium toilets.
20th October.Lee Briers kicked six goals as Great Britain beat a Newcastle select side 40-6, other scorers: Newcastle 6 (6) Tries: Hill Goals: Queenan Great Britain 40 (24) Tries: McGuire 2, Hock, Aspinwall, Burrow, Hodgson 2 Goals: Briers 6.
19th October. Wire have beaten off competition from a number of clubs which included Wigan to sign Kiwi international Vinnie Anderson from St Helens for a fee of £ 50,000.The 27 year old has signed a 3 year deal with the club, he is expected to play loose forward for the club. Coach Paul Cullen said: "Vinnie is a player of international standard whose talents will be a great asset." Anderson made 40 appearances for St Helens but was left out of the team for both the Challenge Cup final in August and last Saturday's Grand Final. He won the last of his six caps in New Zealand's 46-14 defeat by Great Britain at Knowsley Road in June. Anderson added: "Warrington had a good season this year and have made good signings for next season. "They are definitely a team on the rise with high goals and I want to be a part of that."

16th October.Lee Briers is still the Wales captain for the 29 October World Cup qualifying match against Scotland in Bridgend despite the return of Iestyn Harris.Briers, who led Wales to the final of the European Nations Championship last season, is currently with Great Britain's advanced party in Australia preparing for Friday's warm-up match in Newcastle. Britain have allowed Briers to fly back on Saturday for the Wales match, before returning down under to rejoin Brian Noble's squad.
14th October. Toa Koa -Love is to join Widnes Vikings, he has had offers to join a number of SL clubs, but is taking a plumbing course at the Warrington Collegiate and has another year to go, and moving out of Warrington where he is setled with his family was not an option at the time.
12th October. Toa Kohe Love has left the club, with much regret, he said I have been very happy at the club and would like to thank all the supporters for the good time I have had at the club.,

8th October. Logan Swann has left the club and is to join New Zealand Warriors on a 1 year deal.
Five Wolves players jet off to Australia on Tuesday 10th October to form part of the initial Great Britain squad for the 2006 Gillette Tri-Nations Tournament, and to meet a Newcastle rep side as part of the warm-up for the main event. Ben Westwood has been added to the stand-by squad after injuries to Andy Lynch and Stephen Wild and will fly out with team mates Lee Briers, Stuart Reardon, Martin Gleeson and Paul Wood. Also included in the intial squad will be newly signed Wolves forward Adrian Morley,
5th October. Wire have given up trying to sign a new halfback for next year, after the attempt to sign Sean Long earlier in the year failed , Cullen has stated that he is not willing to sign just anyone and that they must be better than Lee Briers or Chris Bridge.However the rumour mill is still linking Wire to St Helens player Vinnie Anderson who still has a year on his contract at Saints, Paul Cullen has however not commented on this.
A new signing is being persued by the club but Paul Cullen as is the practice refuses to elaborate.
A number of Warrington players have as yet not secured new contracts for next season they are Toa Kohe- Love and Logan Swann, a number of players are out of contract they are Chris Leikvoll Andy Bracek and Mike Wainwright, Steve Pickerskill is also out of contract but has intimated his desire to stay at the club, he has had an offer from the club and the club would like him to stay.
1st October. Lee Briers, Stuart Reardon, Paul Wood and Ben Westwood are expected to travel to Australia after being considered for the game against a Newcastle select side, however if not needed they will fly back to the UK to join the Welsh and England squads for the Federation Shield which starts on the 22nd October.
