30th November. Andrew Johns has intimated that he could possibly return to play for The Wire in 2008, he said he really enjoyed his time at the club in 2005, he has discussed the idea with Simon Moran on a casual basis, salary cap conditions would be a big factor to the idea coming to fruition.


27th November.Warrington will open the Super League season away at Wigan on Friday 9th February KO 8pm the game is on Sky Sports. The first home game is on February 18th against Bradford Sunday 18th February KO 3pm.


20th November. Mike Gregory will sign copies of his book "Biting Back" at the Halliwell Jones Stadium on December 9th.

3rd November. Warrington have announced that early bird season ticket offer has been extended to the 11th November, sales have reached last years level (5,000) and 1000 tickets have been taken by new buyers.The new home replica kit will be launched in WOLFWARE on Thursday 7th December, but will be available for pre-order from Thursday 23rd November.

2nd November. As part of Mike Wainwrights testimonial year there will be a rugby league forum at Burtonwood Community centre on 15th November at 7.30pm, new Wire signing Vinnie Anderson will be present alongside Mike Forshaw and St Helens' Keiron Cunningham tickets for the event are £6 and hot food will be available.

The supporters trust have organised a farewell dinner at the Paddington House Hotel Manchester Road for 3 players who are leaving the club to ply their trade elsewhere, Mark Hilton who is going into teaching , Toa Kohe- Love is Widnes bound and Paul Noone who will be at the Harlequins RL next season. Past and present Wire players will also be there tickets cost £20 and include a 3 course meal , it is to open at 7.30pm for an 8pm start, tickets are available from Wolfware or by ringing 817861.

1st November. Mike Forshaw has quit as the club's conditioning coach and looks set to join his former Bradford boss Brian Noble at Super League rivals Wigan. The 36-year-old former Great Britain forward was under Noble for seven years before joining Warrington in 2004. He retired from playing last year but became part of the coaching staff at the Halliwell Jones Stadium. "Warrington can confirm that Mike Forshaw tendered his resignation and it was accepted," said a Wolves statement.

Mike Forshaw explains his reasons to leave Warrington after signing a new deal only recently. He says that he found the offer from Wigan although coming at the wrong time to good to miss and the opportunity to work in the town where he lives is a big consideration.
